History

I'm originally from Buffalo. I used to be a professional chess player. Incase you don't know, chess playing doesn't pay well. To suppliment my income, I was a laborer for $7hr. As you can imagine, my financial situation got worse. One day, I had dreams that chess pieces were chasing me. So, I decided if I was going to be a crazy homeless person, it is better to be in San Diego than Buffalo. So, my dad put up the money to get me out here so I could go to school.

I studied radio broadcasting. I did an internship at Rock 105.3FM on the BC and Woody Show. I was the occasional whipping boy they put on the air for comic relief. They would make fun of me, send me down to the corner store for food, call me at work... That makes for an entertaining show, but I decided being a radio stooge is not what I wanted to be.

How Compugasm Started...

My career path over the last 10yrs has been web software and websites. Almost every project I've done has involved HTML/CSS in some way. This spans printed materials, enterprise level user interfaces, graphics, and functional libraries. I've had leadership roles to drive product direction. I have many samples of previous work on my site. I was the Lead User Interface Designer at Kintera, designing interfaces to modules for Newsletters, Contacts, Charity Golf Events, Political Advocacy, and the Content Management System.
